What is keeping the lights on here tonight?

What kept the lights on during the freeze a few weeks ago?

It was oil and gas hydrocarbons.

Energy density matters.

We don't need to be importing Chinese-made solar panels and Chinese-made wind turbines.

People always ask, what are we going to do with all the turbine blades that we're not using right now?

Well, why don't we make them send them down to the border and use them to finish the wall?

But we've got to make sure we think outside the box here because this is our lifeblood.

It's what funds our schools, either through severance taxes, mineral tax appraisals.

It's how the state has its surplus.

This is jobs.
