I can't find out exactly how many parking spaces there are, but I know there are at least a few hundred people that I've spoken to who don't have parking in that development.
There's another one across the road from us to be the City West core.
They have 420 apartments and 280 spaces.
So it's... Okay, I can do the maths.
It's not going to work.
There is a lot of green spaces.
And I have pitched this to local councillors as well, that there's, you know, there's a lot of aesthetic green spaces.
Like, they don't have benches in them.
They don't have footpaths.
They're just there to look pretty.
And I feel like, you know, you can't justify a space that looks pretty when you're lacking in infrastructure in the area.
You're putting hundreds of people into one area with no facilities for them.
And a lot of people are, you know, they're making the argument of, you're aware there's no parking when you sign your lease, but we're in a housing crisis.
We're in a cost of living crisis.
People are going to take housing wherever they can get it.
And a lot of these apartment developments are cost rental, they're social housing, you know, they're working class people who can't afford to be choosy.
You know, they can't afford to go, well, I'll just pay 600,000 then for a house in Dublin with a driveway.
You know, you're allowed to move into an area and then suggest improvements for it.
Like, you know, there was a lady on social media there a couple of weeks ago and she was giving out going, well, you knew there was no parking when you signed the lease, but two weeks before
park had no bins.
