Maybe what we're feeling is limerence.
Maybe we're feeling this really sparkly sense of connection.
Maybe it's idealization.
I don't know this person enough to actually love them well yet.
In order to love someone, I have to know them first.
Maybe it's anxiety.
And me saying, I love you is the hope that they'll say it back to me.
And that calms my anxiety in that moment.
Maybe it's loneliness.
Maybe it's projection.
That's more what I'm thinking if we say it a bit too early.

So the first thing I want you to look for is too much too soon, right?
We've been together for a week and we're already talking about soulmates.
We're talking about marriage and children and that sort of thing.
I mean, we can talk about it in broad strokes, but all of a sudden you've known me for five days and I'm your soulmate.
I'm not sure about that, right?
We're looking for moments of intensity over consistency.
