Well, I I speak for the Democratic Socialists of America and and I think that you will find the
demand long term uh for s for the working class to be in in charge of the means of production is one that is is pretty universally held.
Again, we're not, you know, trying to flip a switch so that everything changes tomorrow.
We're we're thinking about ways you can incrementally, you know, make life better for starters, but also um shift the balance of power from the billionaire class to the working class.
Uh maybe.
Um, but the reality is that we do not think that uh we're not fighting for a kinder, gentler capitalism.
We we think that a democracy that's that's really controlled by the working class is the ultimate goal.
That's a great question and one that I love to talk about.
So so DSA is uh
fundamentally and sometimes
Excruciatingly democratic.
The highest decision-making body of the Democratic Socialists of America is our convention.
It happens every two years.
Chapters elect delegates.
We come together, vote on a bunch of proposals that may or may not shift our overall strategies or our overall stances on some things.
Well, right now I think we're at 129,000 people.
Um, but we have grown significantly since uh since Zoran Mamdani's election, um, which came after our last convention.
Um, and then we have we've we're seeing a growth spurt recently with the recent uh congressional primary wins as well.
Uh huh.
