Megan was an outgoing, generous young woman with a bubbly personality and an infectious smile.
Megan was very popular and many people were proud to call her a friend.
On March 14th, 2003, family and friends of Megan McDonald were attempting to get in contact with her as her whereabouts was unknown.
She was not at her apartment, she was not answering her phone, and she failed to show up for a 12 o'clock shift at the American Cafe in the Galleria Mall.
Throughout the course of the day, concern from loved ones led to panic.
The following day, March 15th, 2003, Megan's family's worst nightmare became a reality
when her lifeless, beaten body was discovered abandoned on a dirt road off of Bowser Road in the town of Walk Hill.
The official cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to her head.
Yesterday, the New York State Police obtained an arrest warrant for Edward V. Holly, 42 years old, from the town of Williana, New York,
charging him with murder in the second degree.
Today, we executed that warrant at the Orange County Jail, where he is currently in custody for unrelated charges.
Mr. Holly is a former boyfriend of Megan, and the investigation revealed that Mr. Holly had a strong motive to commit this crime.
He says the brothers haven't taken responsibility.
State police revealing this afternoon that DNA evidence linked the alleged killer to the crime scene. McDonald's family telling us that they've been waiting for this day for 20 years.

Yeah, last October, the former L.A. County DA filed a motion asking the court to consider resentencing the brothers. But then a new DA was elected, and his name is Nathan Hockman. And Monday, he gave a press conference. He's asking the court to reverse what the previous DA did.
He wants to withdraw the motion asking for the brothers' resentencing and said that at a hearing scheduled for late next week, he will argue that the brothers should not be made eligible for parole.
Right. Well, this DA came out and said, look, we might be amenable to resentencing, but he says the brothers haven't taken responsibility.
Their lawyer said the DA is showboating and grandstanding and trying to confuse the issue and put the ball back in the governor's court.
Their extended family put out a statement saying the DA has blinders on the fact that Eric and Lyle were repeatedly abused. feared for their lives and have atoned for their actions. And another twist is that the only family member, Kitty's brother, who for a long time opposed their release, he died last week. So, right.
