None of that is justified by October the 7th.

And he said, please don't use my parents, the death of my parents, to justify the killing of innocents in Gaza.
And I agree with him.
I mean, look, unfortunately, every time there is a conflict in the Middle East, you go back to 2014, you go back to 2012, you go back to 2009, there is an explosion of anti-Semitism in the West because some fools and some idiots who think they're supporting the Palestinian cause go and put a swastika on a synagogue or go and attack a Jewish, visibly Jewish person in the street or make comments about Israel which fall into anti-Semitic tropes.
And that is a problem.
I do believe it's a fringe issue.
I do believe it's being used now as a distraction from what's happening in Gaza.
And as you've pointed out, as I've pointed out, the fact that there are a lot of young Jewish people in these protests, some of the most vocal, eloquent, passionate people protesting this war who have been arrested in Congress, arrested outside the DNC, arrested on campus, JVP, right?
If not now, Jewish groups.
And that bothers the pro-Israel narrative because you can't then smear everyone as an anti-Semite.
Two things can be true at the same time, Don.
There are people on the left and in the Palestinian movement, I would argue a tiny minority, who do engage in anti-Semitic rhetoric and acts.
But at the same time, there are people on the pro-Israeli side who definitely use anti-Semitism as a smear, as a way of shutting down debate about Israel, as a way of smearing their critics and silencing their critics.
That is just a fact.
