Well, I don't think this generation of player, these players on the current US national team have proven to anybody that they can be a really top side in an international tournament.
In 2022, they get out of the group and they face the Netherlands and it looked like
You know, men against boys, to be honest with you.
And that wasn't an excellent Netherlands team.
I think obviously we saw what they, you know, the heartbreaker against Argentina.
They could have moved on.
They could have been in the semifinal.
What types of teams can the U.S.
beat?
beyond their region, I think is a huge question mark.
And so, yeah, I just feel like they haven't been tested in that way.
And we don't know if they're going to show up because the Copa America, they were co-hosts, they couldn't get out of the group.
It was a huge showcase for those players to prove that they can get out of a group and potentially face Colombia, Argentina, Brazil in a knockout and defeat them.
And they weren't able to do that because they didn't get out of the group.
So this group of players has a lot to prove.
