And it's not actually just kids and teens we're talking about now then, is it?
Because everybody who is saying, I'm so tired and I just can't seem to...
catch up is actually probably just messing with their natural melatonin
kind of process or systems through the day the blue light reduces all of that sort of stuff so having good sleep hygiene is really healthy yeah okay um see i the funny thing is i know that i know that it's gonna stop me from going to bed at night but now that i've had someone like you who kind of knows the brain tell me that i'll be like okay okay i get it now i'll do it now fine um
You talk about how it's useful for parents to understand that how a teenager is in a moment in time and their behaviour is not an indication of how they're going to be for the rest of their life.

extended whānau to know about this adolescent period and any other little quirks that pop up that are good to know about?
Right, yeah.
And so is it just that they might actually feel quite intensely that they need to be with their girlfriends and the boys might feel quite intensely that they need to be super strong to be, you know, to feel self-worth or that's connected to their value because it comes back to actually just what's going on in their brain in the kind of hunter-gatherer
