There we go.
So welcome everyone.
Um for those who are a bit confused, is this a a webinar on fidgets?
No, it's not, but we always love talking about fidgets.
Um Laura to me is the Mary Poppins of Fidgets.
Uh if you want to understand it a little bit better, go watch her fidget webinar and you'll see quite quickly.
Um she has a couple fidgets and then they just keep coming and coming and coming and coming out of the box.
Um and I love fidgets too.
I always have them around.
So it's always nice just to share with each other what we got for the day.
But today's webinar, um, I'm really looking forward to this one.
Um, so we are going to be talking about it's a Q ⁇ A.
But it's going to be specifically about support.
So just again, uh a welcome to everyone to our very special Q ⁇ A session.
So whether you are a parent or a partner or a family member, a friend, or someone living with a body focused repetitive behavior or a BFIB, which is skin picking, hair pulling, or even biting.
Or if you're a clinician just wanting to better support others, we are so glad that you have joined us.
So today's webinar is all about what meaningful support really looks like.
And we'll be answering common questions, clearing up maybe some misconceptions, and sharing practical ways to support someone living with a BFRB.
My name is Merrill DeCosta.
I am a counsellor and a parent of two children with BFRBs, one with hair polling and one with skin picking.
