That again, that gives the other person the choice and helps the conversation feel safer.
So I think maybe already what we've been speaking about and what we're gonna continue to talk about, you being a support person is you're not responsible for for
getting them to stop their picking, pulling, or biting.
I think your main goal in being the support person is creating spaces, uh just helping them feel and reminding them that they're not doing this on their own.
They're not alone.
Um and there is someone that they can, you know, rely and talk to.
And maybe you you can sort of see that that's quite a common theme in a lot of these

And I think uh again, I just wanna reinforce um it can be really hard.
It can be really tough.
Uh and I think a lot of what we're saying often doesn't come easily to a lot of people.
Um and yes
A a lot of these have come from my own experience, but I did not on day one being a parent of two kids with BFRBs have all of these answers on the on day one.
It certainly was not that that did not happen.
Um it it does take time to get used to the language.
It does take time to uh again as a parent or even as a loved one, you love this person.
so much you want to act fast and quick and with passion and strength and sometimes it comes across
um not in the best way.
