I noticed the other day that my toddler was pulling his hair.

We tried not to draw attention to this.

and simply pulled his hand away.

How can I stop this?

I'm really worried.

My habit is now affecting him.

Um that's really difficult.

That's really challenging.

what you're experiencing because I can imagine the the guilt that you probably are experiencing.

Again, someone coming from my own experience, um, someone who has picking tendencies, and just in general, you know, did I cause this?

Um, are my kids picking and pulling because was there something that I did wrong?

Um so first of all, before we go any

further into how do we stop the pulling.

I just want to tell you that it that this is not your fault.

Um, it is quite uncommon that they they learn these behaviors directly from us.

We do know that there is a genetic component that does come with um BFIBs, so picking, pulling, and biting.

Um, so that that does come through.

But again, you didn't intentionally do that.
