The snow is going to begin tonight in the D.C.

area, then spread up 95 to New York City and Boston and beyond during Sunday afternoon.

and all travel will become hazardous if not impossible thousands of flight cancellations to now i'm still looking at six to twelve inches for the majority of the region and some places may reach upwards of eighteen inches but a switch to sleep and freezing rain would lower those totals a bit south and east of ninety five near the coast

But then you'll have a disruptive ice storm on top of the snow.

And bitter wind chills of 10 to 20 below zero will continue after the storm leaves on Monday.

So repairs are going to take longer and the snow will be around for many days.
