So you have to you have to turn part of your brain off, honestly, if you're you know.
If you're gonna get sucked up into a film, yeah, or a play.
That's where I think I think I think that m movies and and play that kind of entertainment should be considered almost like a treat when it comes to food.
Right.
Because it you it is an indulgence.
It can be good.
Like they can feed and nourish your soul in a way just like ice cream can.
Like sometimes you just need that.
emotional boost or whatever, but you have to realize that it's it's ki it kind of um works to your detriment, especially like
In like people that binge watch TV shows and movies, their life just goes to crap because they're kind of on an opiate all the time.
Like the difference between a book versus seeing a play or a movie with actors.
Um
The book requires more imagination.
It requires more active cognition.
Like if you if you're to look at uh somebody's brain on a like an EKG or um
or EEG, any anything where you can look up uh brain waves, you'll you'll see that when you're reading, it's fully engaging where because think about it, you have to imagine the things that you're reading, right?
And then with the m the me um TV shows, movies, and plays are more what's known as cool media, where you don't have to bring much to the table.
Right.
So it allows you to be more trance-like, more relaxed.
Right.
