We can beat Egypt.

And I'm like, can we really?

Can we beat Egypt?

I mean, with the players they've got, with the pedigree they've got, I still think it'll be tough.

It will be tough.

Egypt will be ready for us.

And if Egypt score first, then it gets really tricky because they've got their tails up and they'll go for it.

But the Sawights group is in a good place.

You know, the big test was last week how they'd handled the occasion.

They handled it well.

So, yeah, I mean, we're daring to dream.

I feel like a more likely result might be a draw could be something we're really hopeful rather than actually beating Egypt.

But...

It's not impossible.

They'll have to defend a lot better.

And as you say, a nation with only two professional clubs and one of them only started two seasons ago.

So until then, we had one professional club, just Wellington playing in the Australian League.

And I think we've got maybe 50, you'd say, 50 to 60 professional players at the most.

So, yeah, things are, I mean, it's a great time to be covering New Zealand football.
