I'm not privy to, honestly, I'm not just trying to dodge the question.

Well, at the time, I remember saying to Danny on the podcast, because he's been far more against this.

I wasn't against it.

I just thought – my initial thought was why is it the NRL's responsibility to –

help the Australian and PNG government.

But that's my naivety and understanding.

I was like, it's not the NRL's position here to help these two out and sort whatever they need to sort.

But then when you go over there, and I went over in October, what originally happened, Kenty, was I asked the Herald to fly to Papua New Guinea for the PM's game and actually do a piece on what was, as the questions you're asking, where's this money going?

What are they building?

What are they doing?

And I'd lined it all up and then unfortunately the head of the Herald decided it wasn't money worth spending.

So the NRL thought, you know what, that's actually, we need to start doing this.

We'll take your idea, but by the way, you also have to go with Brent Reid because we can't send the Herald and not the Telegraph.

So Reid and I went over there and we got to spend three days doing the sort of things that I'm taking all these players on, where they're going to live.
