It's very challenging, I must say, because I'm trying to sit watching a video and determine the level of impact or force used on a player.
So the guidelines talk about if a player excessively exaggerates contact.
So it's an assessment of the force of, say, a push.
And then from that moment, how the player reacts.
And look, you know, it's a real...
area of the game, which I, which I don't like.
Um, and, and I'm sure the football public is on the, on the, in the same boat.
Well, that's a good opening question.
Look, dare I say it, and I hate saying this because I know what's going to happen as soon as I say it, it's been pretty quiet.
There's been a number of incidents, of course, across the year, but I suppose the biggest thing is...
Gerard, tackling and the number of suspensions that certainly even certainly this year, but even last year, we suspended 32 players in 2023 when we made the decision to really and for the
the betterment of the health of players to try and crack down on dangerous tackles.
And as I said, 32 suspensions in 2023.
There were 10 in 2024, four last year and three so far this year.
And I think anyone that watches the game knows
and watches a lot of football, will certainly notice that it's changed players' behaviour in this regard.
And it's certainly been, I think, a major positive for the health of players going forward.
So I think that, you know,
You never win a battle, but I think what we've been able to do in that area is certainly change players' behaviour.
