They have to be our flagship team.

So...

There's very few of the lads playing now, but I have the greatest admiration for these lads that were there then.

The Ben Kennedy's own calls, my fellow Ross Raven, Kieran Bourke, Killian Sampson, Jason Sampson, David King.

These lads were all there.

And Killian and Jason and David are gone this year now, but they were a huge part of us getting out of there.

So we had them there and we were trying to resource that set up properly while we knew we had quite a good underage team.

But by 2020 and 2021, our underage minor teams, Leo was with them,

They were okay, but they got an awful hammer in the Leinster final one year.

They had a frank chat with Leo after that.

We felt we needed to resource that set up better too.

So Hughie Hannan came in as a coach there.

Johnny Pickleton came in there.

Hughie was and is a top coach.

Johnny Pickleton brought huge energy, brought experience, brought a bit of humour to the thing.

But a lot of drive and a lot of passion that might be underestimated by people thinking Johnny the Joker.
