but if you look at the swipes coming in so I think like it's not an excuse because the lad has a helmet on so you know the players are skillful they know what they're doing most of the time they can they can show a little bit more patience but particularly that one and I saw some suggestions during the weekend you know that if a player is down over it he has to be back up before he can hit him okay it's happening so quick but it can be done when the rules are changed it's hard in rugby player catches but can't be tackled in the air so the player has to wait for him to come down
or he's penalised.
A guy goes down on the ball when he's going back in defence, he has to be let back up on his feet before he can tackle him.
So, like, you could say years ago, that won't happen to him.
You can't do it because it's in the rules.
So, certainly, I think it's an area that, I think they're trying hard in the G8, to be fair.
They're very aware of the head-high tackle, of the power of the players.
And,
they're clamping down on it.
And even before the championship started, you saw that, the release from Crowe Park about this, that they wanted referees to referee the head high tackle.
What tends to happen is you go on in the championship and it's kind of forgotten about a little bit.
The matches get very intense and, you know, earlier in the year, maybe in the league, you get that being sent off for maybe not sending off offences, you know, maybe marginal ones.
And then you come to the championship and,
and to hide the battle, and they're kind of dismissed a little bit.
So, not an easy job, but something that I think in the close season, again, I think, you know, maybe just, just, just, if somebody is tackled into the head, a couple of red cards are going to sort it out.
