Appearances
You have to give Galway credit.
They were very well set up.
Dahi Burke went back on foot.
But Dublin had to know he was going to go full-back on John Hederton.
But he went back, closed up shop there.
But Dublin would be really, really disappointed after the progress they've made
you know, like last year, brilliant win against Limerick, then Cork hammered it, that can happen, the bounce factor, whatever, this year, much more settled, much more consistent, and, yes, we'll go away, to finish with a couple of late goals, it'll take, and they were brilliant goals, by the way, absolutely brilliant goals, Coleraine and, and Whiteley, Fergal Whiteley tried very hard, and,
But as I said, there was no pattern to the game.
They never got the running game going, which they're good at.
Some of their bigger players just weren't in the game.
Donald Burke, I mentioned before the game, has been a key man.
And he's a great player, but he just had a complete off day, which can happen as well.
But they just struggled for leadership.
They struggled.
Chris Crummey went off injured, but wasn't in the game before that.
Liam Rush struggled with the pace of the game.
He did get some possessions in the first half, then he went off injured.
And I said it in the comments, it's going to be very hard to come back after a few years out at that level.
And I think the weaknesses in the Dublin team were ruthlessly exposed.
And it's probably no coincidence that Micheál Donoghue was the man who did it because he knows them better than anybody else, obviously, having been there.
