We think that the breakdown was a bit of our energy, and we always speak about trademark efforts giving the team energy, and our work rate wasn't really there, our connection wasn't there.
It may be one of those one-off games, but...
Yeah, we weren't connecting with our teammates.
We broke down from stoppage and things like that, so we just couldn't get the game played on our terms all day.
And then it just makes it hard, and JL was massive on, you know, if we're not putting in and tipping in with our trademark efforts, then we're just leaving it to chance.
So for us, we sort of locked in and honed in on that stuff, but we knew it wasn't alarm bells, and we're in a good place at the moment.
It was just sort of tighten up on those things, and then we'll get the game looking the way we want it against these guys.
Yeah, big time.
I think we're lucky to have guys like Andy, Sorong, Shea, obviously Murphy when he goes in there.
And I think, obviously, when teams tag a player, then there's a lot of respect shown on the other side.
But I think you can't just tag one without the other ones or the other three sort of getting the ball played on their terms and getting the ball our way.
Like if you've got Shea running around in the midfield doing what he wants, I think...
He's a big barometer for us with what he can do with the footy and we saw that at the start of the second half and obviously Murphy can do his thing as well.
So for boys to just be able to run out a full four-quarter effort was just unreal and I'm so pleased with it.
Go ahead and win the whole thing from here?
You've got to be pretty optimistic, I think.
And I think we're in a pretty special place at the moment.
But for us, we'll obviously enjoy the weekend and things like that.
And we'll prep the same way we do for any opposition that we face because the league and the competition always gets better and better.
So as long as we can improve quicker and better than the opponents that we're coming to face, then I think we'll be all right.
