When you leave a place that could have given you and your family a lot of stability for years and years and years, six months after that decision, you're like, oh, boy.

It's just so meaningful to me that they believed in us and gave us the ability to go out and do the thing that we love every single day because without them, we quite literally couldn't do it.
And it goes far beyond
the money, just like a great GP and founder relationship, you want to be able to call them when you have questions or insecurities on things and you're seeking feedback.
You want to be the best manager in their portfolio.
Early on, there were so many questions that I had.
We have the fund admin, we have finance, we have compliance, all of these things.
And the question from us to them is always, what is the best in class way to set this up and run this firm?
And so we've built a relationship where we're seeking feedback.
So we get feedback that's unsolicited as well.
