I think there was a feeling that something had to change, something needed to be done.
You know, that this is a this incident is awful.
I think the videos of this one are very shocking and perhaps as much, if not more than the the
the shooting of Renee Goode, which I think was easier for whatever reason for the administration to write off.
But I think there is a feeling that Tom Homan is going to be the adult in the room, that he's going to come and kind of right the ship a little bit and that they needed to do something to show that they were hearing the criticism and complaint.
At the same time, I don't know that I would expect a big change in the immigration policy.
I don't know that they're going to stop doing these immigration raids.
I think one person we haven't heard a lot from about any of this is Stephen Miller, which I find very interesting.
But I think there is a sense that, you know, Noam and Greg Bovino, it's just like we have to get them out of there and show that the administration is doing something.
But I don't know exactly what changes are going to happen on the ground in Minnesota, which I think is the question here.
Well, Rand Paul is often on an island, but I don't think he is in this particular case.
Obviously, one of the more frequent critics of a Trump administration going back for years.
But, you know, he's been in charge of this committee, which oversees ICE and CBP for a while and has not called a hearing, even as we see more controversial action.
So I think this really represents a clamoring from Senate Republicans to do something.
It's not just him.
Bill Cassidy was one of the first ones out.
You know, I think there are other people who have just said that we need to look into this.
We need to figure out what's going on here.
To not give too much credit to Senator Paul, he was beat by the House, who, you know, Andrew Garbarino from Long Island, who
as less of a frequent critic called for one of these hearings already.
