So I can only be so declarative and definitive here because I haven't had time to look at everything.
I will say we expected heavy redactions in these files.
I don't know that lawmakers necessarily prepared people for this, but the law that Congress passed last month allows the redactions of victim information.
It allows for redactions of child sexual abuse material, which was always going to be a huge part of the case against Jeffrey Epstein.
And there are exemptions that are allowed for continuing investigations.
We don't have the details of why some of these exemptions were made.
I've looked at some of the files.
It's very clear that some of them are interviews with investigators.
victims or people who had identified as victims.
That will account for some of the redactions.
But there are a lot of things we don't know here.
And I also want to point out, we haven't seen, as I'm sure your viewers know, we have not seen all the files.
Now, I just reviewed a letter that Todd Blanche, the Deputy Attorney General, sent to Congress that I got from a source that
And in that, he says that he expects to finish the review sometime in the next two weeks, but they're still going through material.
He acknowledges they haven't looked at all the material.
And he also says that there were 1,200 people who they were looking at who were either victims or family members of victims whose information had to be taken out of these documents.
I suspect that's a lot of, but not all of what's been redacted in these files.
