really notable moment when she was sparring with Representative Becca Balint from Vermont and sort of tried to start lecture her on anti-Semitism.
And Congresswoman Balint is not only Jewish, but she's descended from Holocaust survivors.
And you could see her just outraged by the insinuation that she wasn't doing enough to fight anti-Semitism.
Go ahead, Michael.
It was just very it was a very combative hearing.
I mean, it's very combative.
I think that obviously Democrats are outraged about a lot of what they see going on in the DOJ.
And it was understandable.
And, you know, just as a counterpoint, while this was all happening over in the House, on the Senate, Democrats basically just took the floor when they gaveled in the Senate today to decry this failed indictments against these six lawmakers who appeared in this video telling Democrats
members of the military, they didn't have to follow legal orders.
So I think there's just been a real pushback against the DOJ and what's perceived as DOJ overreach.
It was very striking.
I have not quite seen a hearing like that in my time here.
I don't think I think this was this is pretty remarkable.
I mean, and some of this is also just so many issues coming to a head.
Right.
I mean, forgive me if you mention this, but I think the moment that we're all going to remember from this hearing today is when Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal asked the Epstein victims to raise their hands behind Pam Bondi and
Pambani seemed like she was at a loss for words when Jayapal asked her to apologize to them.
It was very striking, and I think she seemed really caught off guard, even for someone as prepared with her notes as she was.
It was just quite a moment.
