You tell people to be afraid of it and then you tell people who's to blame for it.

And going back to some worse instincts.

that we have seen historically within our society.

I think the challenge, though, is in this moment, the thing that people care most about is themselves and what they're focusing on is who is going to address things like health care.

Who is going to address things like gas prices?

Who is going to address things like housing?

Who's going to address things like public education and public safety?

The people who can speak to that with people are gonna be the ones who end up being successful in elections.

And you take Michigan as a classic example.

I'm a numbers guy.

And here's what I saw the numbers showed yesterday, is that there were over 1.5 million Democrats

who turned out in Michigan.

On the Republican side, there were less than a million.

And so there is something where Democrats are energized right now.

Might be divided by candidacies, but they are energized.

On the Republican side, if the answer is going to be we're just going to make people afraid of something or a person, I just do not see that as a winning or nor an energizing strategy.

Yeah, you know, I have to agree with you as someone who, you know, is a tactician of how how you kind of win the race in front of you or the race that you're running.

You have to pay attention to what people are telling you.

And is what the people have been saying in a place like Michigan that I think has given Abdul El-Said the opportunity to pull off the win that he did.

I'm going to set aside the polling in that for the purposes of this conversation, because the polling was whack.
