Well, I think there's a couple factors in that.
I saw the values in the relationship and the respect that ServiceMaster had for me and the responsibility they had for me as a franchisee.
I saw that personal commitment
from the franchisor to be successful.
They were willing to build a relationship and the franchisor was willing to be vulnerable for me to say, I need this help or you can help me and they also held me accountable.
So I think that's a piece of it.
But I think also the opportunity to see that it's a people business and I was able to really find great people to work with in our franchise business
and go forward.
The other piece that really made a difference is I had a chance to become involved in the Franchise Advisory Council.
So as I was able to interact with corporate staff and develop those relationships, that's what really made me see that franchising was a powerful force.
ServiceMaster respected me as a franchisee because they recognized that I put the capital
into the business.
I was at risk more than they were.
So I think that's an important part

Well, I think it was the moments where when I found the right people to come and join me, when I found the first people
production assistant, the first crew chief, the first office assistant, the first salesman.
Those were the aha moments that I saw, hey, I can stay.
