You're like kind of eager to get there.
And then if something starts to pick up and you can tell, everybody really takes off and you see the second gear.
But then by the time you get there, it's over anyway.
It's so –
I mean, I know this is such a baseball word, but it's such eyewash for the bullpen.
No, I know.
That's my point.
The bullpens should just, like, meet up in center field.
If they want to fight each other, they can fight each other.
But, like, there's no point in them all going out to the end field.
I think in games like that, you always expect there to be a little bit of a fight left.
So I don't think anybody's hopes were completely gone.
That being said, you're trying not to let the doubt in at that point.
It's coming down to the wire and you're like, we can't think about this right now.
We've got to think about scrapping away while we still have this sliver of hope.
And so it was almost one of those situations.
There's a couple moments like that that I can think of, which, man, again, how grateful I am to have gotten the opportunity to see some of these moments, like Freddie's walk off Grand Slam last year.
The swing starts, and it just, like...
when I remember it, it just like slows down in a slow motion.
And you're like, here we go.
