Which are basically just signals to get the bioelectric pattern memories uh shifted in the right way.

And uh of course, uh AI is going to be uh very important in uh enabling us to communicate to all the different layers of the body.

So my claim here is that um future medicine is gonna look a lot more like a kind of somatic psychiatry and a lot and and not like chemistry, because because the name of the game is going to be uh to to really take advantage of.

And the final thing I will just say is that because of the plasticity of life and because of the innate problem solving capacities of tissues.

Pretty much any combination of uh evolved material, engineered material, and software is some kind of possible embodied mind.

So in other words, cyborgs and hybrots and augmented humans and weird uh you know kinds of creatures that um you could only begin to imagine.

Some of these already exist, many are coming.

Uh they will be here with us in in the future.

And that means that

We need to let go of uh old categories around uh living things versus machines and all that, because uh the entire variety of life, what Darwin called endless forms most beautiful, are a tiny corner in the space of possible beings.

And and I think we need to take very seriously the idea that it's this this technology is is uh is not just about fixing uh all of the the medical um s situations that plague us today, but also to release

uh to release uh a kind of um freedom of embodiment where where people really can reimagine uh their life in a very different way than the body they happen to have been you know given as a as an accident of the trial and error process of of evolution.

And we need to we need to uh really work on uh on a new way of synth biosis of of of living up um

in a in a in a mutually beneficial uh way with uh with beings that are going to be different from us.

So I'll stop here.
