And and which which which explains a very weird observation.
Well, two actually two observations.
One is that people have been trying, I think for about at at least 30 years.
Probably longer to make transgenic planaria.
And it just doesn't work.
There are no transgenic planaria.
And also there are no mutant strains of planaria.
Unlike every other species where you can get, you know, Drosophila with curly wings and mice with weird uh tails and whatnot.
There are no uh mutant strains of planaria uh except for there's there's two weird lines of planaria, uh ours that are not genetic, right?
the the double headed form and the and the cryptic confused uh form.
And those are not genetic.
And so I think I think what's actually happening is planaria are and we have computational uh experiments that show this, is that there's this like runaway uh ratchet for uh taking pressure off of the structural genome and onto this competency, the the intelligence of that layer that interprets the genome to give you some you know something.
I think I think that's what's going on.
Yeah.
Um I think that uh the you know, the question of what's noise and what's not is very much in the eye of the of the beholder.
And so w trying to trying to cut up the you know, and and I and I I I think I think Carl will say that it also has to uh has to do with what you were expecting to measure and the things that are outside of that you might interpret as noise, or you might take that as an opportunity to to compute something else.
Um so I I you know, I think I think uh no no I think noise is interesting, but I think it's just part of the uh moral mo b uh the bigger issue that even in a deterministic system, a finite observer that has no actual noise, a f a finite observer is going to have to pick some things to take very seriously and then some other things that it's going to treat as noise in the sense that it's going to just uh uh core screen over it and ignore it and and find invariants that are
Uh that th that are that are not paying attention to that at all.
