So I was playing basketball outside at our other friend Bunzo's house and Dookie lived across the street.
He comes over, he sees me playing.
He's like, yeah, let me jump in there with his loafers on.
He hit me with like 36 elbows right in the chest.
just to be like, you know what, I'm still here and just giving it to me.
And he loved that I was giving it back to him.
But what Witt said about him, like you were playing against his son when he was at Milton Academy.
That's a big rivalry in Massachusetts.
And him going up to you and giving you advice and helping you out,
That's lost.
There's none of that shit anymore.
And that needs to come back.
So all you parents out there who have hockey players, be more like Dookie.
Root for everyone.
Be there for everyone.
And lead by example.
Because that's what he did.
He was one of those guys we had heard about him just in the hockey scene growing up.
And then you just see what type of guy he was.
Just a loving dad.
