And so they went through this whole thing. matched

They never cleaned out all the pipes from that, because, as you know, in politics, things get stopped up and messed up and it doesn't it doesn't work its way through the system. matched

And people on the ground still have hard feelings about what happened. matched

And so people aren't working. matched

People aren't helping. matched

They're not organizing. matched

And so you have you have a candidate who they don't have a picture for. matched

Who's not in the race race at 50.9 percent over the Trump endorsed candidate who sent in his picture. matched

And so it will matter to Democrats, both in the state and nationally, but especially nationally, to look at the narratives that are taking shape coming out of this primary race tonight. matched

Not so much look at the horse race of it all, but look at what moved the voters. matched

What actually animated them to give a damn to get up? matched

To take that time off from work, to your point, and to actually go stand in a line for however long, do the thing, do the vote, to make it known what they wanted. matched

And if you're able to capture that, and it was a very important lesson for me in 2009, looking at 2010. matched

watching what voters were saying in New Jersey and Virginia in 2009, gave me a clue of how to begin to talk to voters in 2010, because the message was the same. matched

And so that reality is going to be true across the board here for a lot of voters across the country, not just in the Hamlets of Michigan, but in very small and big places elsewhere, matched

And if they can make that case, again, a case Republicans cannot make. matched
