So, you know, we need to start planning for this now 'cause this stuff does not happen overnight.
The Solid Waste Authority is is is recently formed.
They're doing a great job.
There's a lot of great ideas that were talked about out here today that'll probably be flush flushed out at at some point in time.
But all those take time.
There needs to be a culture change.

Take a moment here and and admittedly before I got involved
little over two years ago in in the solid waste world, I was one of those who thought
You know, just bring your garbage to the end of the curb and it just magically disappears.
You know, and and that's and I hate to say that, but that's how a lot of us a lot of the public views us out there.
But at the end of the day, we need to have places to place the garbage.
And even the uh the master plan, the consultants doing the master plan in an in a public meeting of the Solid Waste Authority has said
You will need a landfill.
So that's why it's it's you know, that's why it's important that we go through and and have to start preparing for this because
Just by
If if it was approved today, if the use of the twenty-four acres and the height was approved today, that doesn't mean that they can start
That doesn't mean they can start uh putting garbage in there tomorrow.
There is a lengthy process to do that.
They have to go through the permitting.
