We moved from Houston to Dallas, the Houston area to the Dallas area.

And I really went into my shell.

And so I think that...

I would play alone with toys.

But I would do way more than just play with toys.

I would envision stories and movies and romances and all these different things.

So when I was finally at a place where I felt comfortable in theater, and I was like, I'm going to direct.

I'm going to ask my teacher if she'll let me be her assistant.

And I'm going to assistant direct Fiddler on the Roof.

But we didn't have enough boys to do Fiddler on the Roof.

So she made me be on stage.

Okay.

And I did enjoy that.

I did enjoy getting up on stage and singing and dancing.

And so I had a little part.

And then after that, I started dancing.

You were sort of bitten by the bug, as they say.

Yeah, totally.

But even still, at that point, I thought, there's no way I'm going to be good at this.

And my teachers were my heroes.
