Like back then, even then, you know, that's almost 20 years now.

Well, it definitely was like an impulse following.
So I had this idea that my character, who was Vanessa Williams' assistant on the show,
The idea was that she was going to be such a terrible boss or such a difficult boss that every week she'd have a new assistant because nobody wanted to work for her.
And so I knew that going in.
That was what they told me.
This is just one episode.
And it was a pilot, so I didn't know if the show was even going to get picked up.
You know, might not have even become a television show.
And so I knew I had nothing to lose.
And I had this idea, this kind of big idea that he wanted to be her.
And he was obsessed with her and like a sycophant.
And so they always staged me behind her.
You know, they always blocked me to be right behind her.
Or trailing her or whatever.
