An American attorney filed the lawsuits on behalf of Ukrainians who were wounded or lost family members in Russian airstrikes.

Lead attorney Michael Watts says that microchips and other electronic components made by U.S.

companies were shipped to Iran, China, and other countries and later ended up in Russia.

Watts hopes to make American companies change their practices to make sure that Russia won't use their technologies in weapons against Ukraine.
