Yeah, they just took that random decision to to do this.

First of all, this is the guy who allowed waivers that were implemented on the back of the Iran war to allow Grosnyev, the Russian state oil company, to sell oil in the global market.

There's so that we we uh put in these waivers to bypass the sanctions that Donald Trump did impose a year ago or whatever.

Those waivers have expired.

So if he's so concerned about Russia not making money from selling oil, he could simply re-up the waivers.
