Warren Buffett really is a very high ideal for a lot of value investors.

A lot of value investors do ascribe to the principles of Warren Buffett.

But that's right.

Warren Buffett really has had to even change his approach and reconsider those principles.

traditional definitions of value and say, is this appropriate?

Is this still right?

So he has bought shares of Apple.

But the funny thing is, by the time he was buying shares of Apple, he had already seen an incredible run-up in price.

So even a great value investor like Warren Buffett,

have had a really tough time adjusting to this changing landscape for value, which now looks like it should be a bit better for investors, but we're not really sure yet.

So you do have a lot more investors saying if Warren Buffett's willing to go outside those traditional value-style boxes, they're willing to do it themselves as well.

Amazon's been an incredible stock that just this year alone, it's contributed a significant amount of what the market's been able to do.

You know, when you're looking at what the market's been doing, it's been pretty much flat.

Amazon's up double digits.

So even in those cases, as investors are trying to cast a wider net for what value might be, even a guy like Warren Buffett isn't really able to do it perfectly.

But you're seeing more investors catch on.

Amazon features very heavily in a lot of value investors' portfolios, and that's been a recent development over the last few years.

So even those investors themselves have missed out on a significant run-up in value as well.

But they're betting that Amazon still has a big way to go from here.
