I don't think they actually were because initially it worked quite well.
In the first half, England got drawn into a battle, which I don't think they would have wanted to.
But they responded well to that.
And even the goal was a consequence of really good discipline.
So they clearly responded to the circumstances.
Basically, they had Argentina exactly where they wanted them, even amid the atmosphere, even amid the kind of tactical shape of the game, even amid the issues.
And they let that go completely needlessly.
So, look, by the letter of the law, there is a strong argument there.
