There are flaws in it, but I think no one really has a perfect squad.

In fact, unlike say 1998 as a World Cup or maybe 82,

The top field, I think, is actually quite thin, especially in a lot of the major nations.

I mean, look at Brazil and their issues.

And I think it could be a World Cup that favours the second-tier teams because of all these issues to fatigue, like Senegal, Morocco, maybe even Austria.

And within that, because of that, I think...

England have more of a chance than they would do with this squad they've got issues in defense they still can't keep the ball properly it's funny like after eight years of a revolution in England where they have finally started to get to to finals again where Tuchel's been brought in to get them over the line it's funny how some of the same questions still apply a is keeping the ball in big games and in tournaments like this and then b is just what Tuchel is really here for which is

what's going to happen the first time you play a major nation.

Because even though Southgate got them through big runs, every time they played a team that was really thinking about winning it, they lost.

So that's the big test.

But I could deal with Tuchel a lot.

But, I mean, Luis Enrique was the Spanish coach at the last World Cup, went out last 16, and a relative nobody in Luis De La Fuente wins it.

And obviously that's actually relevant to the England debate, not to say Lee Carsley's a nobody.

But I still think England were playing better football under Carsley than they were under Tuchel.

yeah i mean this is like there aren't many goal scorers you know discussion has been had in football for for years now norway have the best in the world maybe other than harry kane another potential differential for england and there is opportunity there norway i wouldn't be surprised to see them in the semi-final i have to say like it's a bit of a it's a bit like an irish squad in 2002 really in terms of they've got well they've got one world-class player one recent title winner in odegaard and then kind of a team of different profiles um

And that, look, that gives them opportunity.
