Yeah, it's work-related because she's buying for me shoes for my exhibition.
I'm getting very stylish, inspired by some Saudi soul music.
She's doing a lot of things.
Actually, I think most of my work is inspired by her also.
Yeah, that's the whole concept actually.
It's called a toxic cult, addressing the toxic masculinity that's around.
And also like the flag of the country, the Kenyan flag is like falling on the ground.
So it's like showing like if we keep abusing the woman, this means that the country is like falling.
The piece itself is called Her Reality.
So it's basically a network speaking about my mum, how it was when we were growing up in the slums.
Being abused, she shows people this flower, that everything is fine, and she serves the men around her.
Like, nothing is wrong.
So it's like addressing issues about femicide, like, where does this thing come from?
