When DJ gets the job in L.A., I'm fully in to help him get in the playoffs.

But to think you're going to do this...

If I hadn't met with those guys and they weren't 100% all in on me, no chance I'd be doing that.

But just saying it wasn't what mattered.

Walking through the detail of how it's going to happen and then me saying to them, we're getting together again here now.

We'll get the rest of the group.

We figure this stuff out.

But it's collaboration.

You can say communication, it's collaboration.

You have to stand up and say things back so that we can get organized and you feel good about it.

That doesn't mean, and Lee and I talked about this, that doesn't mean you're not going to be pissed off.

You're going to be pissed off sometimes.

We're okay with that.

You're allowed to be mad at me, I'm allowed to be mad at you.

So what, let's talk it out and let's move ahead.

It's good for your soul when someone says to you, we want you to be part of your program.

And then when the owner and the management team and the players all want the same thing, it's a pretty good feeling when you're a coach.

Leon, Connor, that climate, and the rest of this leadership group want to get better.

And that's what they've asked of me.

And they've told me, we have to be better, and we expect you to make us better.
