And I said, hey, you know, how you doing?
Who, you know, who are you?
And the guy says, he talks to me a little bit.
And then I asked him about his background.
He says, I'm a Gurkha.
And I said, I'm sorry, you're a what?
And he said, I'm a Gurkha.
And I said, the fuck you are?
What province are you from?
And it turns out he's from up north, Cagayan province in the Philippines.
Great guy, great people.
But what you had was, I know this is a long-winded story, but what you had out there in those early days
the private security guys were just trying to, you know, staff up, right?
They were filling contracts, they were making money.
And so they were just taking anybody, right?
And so you ended up with a whole slew of people out there talking about how they were, you know, they were SEALs or they were SPS or whatever.
They were just squaddies, right?
Or whatever.
They were puffing up their credentials.
And so it happens.
