And he introduced John Ternus.
And Ternus started by talking about how grateful he was, of course, to Tim Cook.
But within the first couple lines, he started talking about artificial intelligence and how Apple sees that as a way to improve things like productivity.
Apple is often kind of looked at as somewhat behind in the AI race.
They've recently struck major deals with Google and others to sort of spruce up their AI efforts.
But hearing that early on from Ternus really means that AI is not going away in Apple's strategy by any stretch of the imagination.
This is designed to be kind of your sort of centralized digital life, bringing together, you know, social elements from platforms like Meta, bringing together work elements from platforms like Microsoft, leisure with things like, you know, photography apps and games and things like that.
That all goes on your phone.
Right.
And what he sees as the potential of AI is bringing all of that stuff together in a way that's a lot more comprehensive and easy.
We will have to see exactly what that looks like in practice.
Apple, as I said, kind of perceived to be behind in the AI race.
Some have said that they've also avoided some of the embarrassing negative headlines of the AI race by kind of putting that technology at arm's length.

Yeah, it's a good question and obviously a pretty eye-opening headline there, Brad, that researcher Jacob Coxon, as he's known, did work at OpenAI before jumping over to Anthropic and then this week resigning from that position.
He even went so far as to say that within the next 10 years, there is a 10% chance of AI killing all humans.
Obviously, everyone's going to perk up and pay attention to that.
think it's also worth taking a step back, Brad, and just talking about where we're at with artificial intelligence right now.
These internal labs, you know, they are working on these models that haven't been released to the public yet.
