Here's the football team that while they have a rich history, they don't have a quarterback.
And maybe you're competing with another team or maybe he's very selective and doesn't want to come to Pittsburgh or isn't ready to take that next step until he feels he's truly ready.
Well, we've been talking so much about the quarterback situation for the Steelers, and he is a former quarterback, four-year starter at Illinois with the Fighting Illini.
And again, he's part of now this McVay tree that everything he touches, people want a part of.
The downside is he's only been with McVay for a year, and he's the passing game coordinator.
He's not even calling the plays.
He's not even an offensive coordinator.
He's 35 years old.
It's not like he's in his 40s yet.
And even though he's been part of McVay's staff, does he know enough people in the NFL after just one year in the NFL to build out a strong staff?
He is a guy that I know within NFL circles, he's supposedly a hot name and people think he's going to be a great head coach one day.
My only question would be, is now the right time for shield house?
The other part is, am I going to be able to say his name without my yinzer coming out and it becoming Sheil Haas?
I thought that the double A, Joe, I'm going to make it.
I honestly thought it was Sheil Haas because of the double A. And then I came to find out later that I believe it actually is house.
So I'm not sure I can even pronounce that without coming out as a yinzer.
clay kubiak did they get the wrong kubiak here mike give us the quick version on old clay well you can't interview clint kubiak because you're only allowed to virtually interview guys who are who got the first round by during the wild card week so they weren't able to virtually interview clint and now we'll see if he's in the conversation so if you're saying that just to give people some context so they know why clint isn't in discussion for clay uh
Let's just start here.
Sky bang reverse pass.
That was the trick play that they ran with Juwan Jennings throwing the touchdown pass to Christian McCaffrey, and that was a suggestion from Clay Kubiak.
