I will tell you, and you probably know this better than I do, to Jim Pillen's credit,
He's the first governor in my lifetime that was able to eliminate the DD waiting list.
At least that was a couple months ago.
I remember the news came out.
I watched them talk about it.
Ultimately, the state legislature is going to decide what the resources are that are going to the developmental disability program.
I don't think there's anyone in America, Republican or Democrat,
that doesn't want your son to live in the least restrictive, most productive, safest environment.
I'm speaking on behalf of Republicans and Democrats.
They see you.
They see your son.
We want him to lead the best life he can live.
And Nebraska, in the last couple of years, has made some strides there.
I will say, 10 years ago, it was really hard with some of the state budget stuff there.
As to the bill that you talked about, it's a really good sign to me that Don Bacon likes it.
I will take a look at it.
