I still can't get myself to a place where I'm truly worried about the Chicago Cubs.
It sucks what's going on right now.
They've lost four in a row, and they haven't looked good in the process, although the pitching to some degree has held up.
I don't feel like there's a chronic issue involved in this.
That would take a few more losses for me to get there.
Atlanta's a very good team, and I still believe that the Cubs are a very good team who have not gone to the next level.
But that's just it, though.
Like, what are you going to do right now?
The Freddy Peralta stuff popped up and that was pushed down quickly because it's too early.
I mean, I don't know if I'm going to look at the Braves, the best team in baseball, and use them as the measuring stick to panic and say, oh, the Cubs need to make trades.
They need to augment because they've gone through โ suddenly gone through a cold streak.
This is a team that has twice won 10 games in a row this year.
So I'm not ready to start talking about, wow, you really โ yes, you make adjustments defensively.
day-to-day, and the pitching thing is real, and Matthew Boyd hopefully will be back eventually this year, but I can't go into that mode yet.
