At that time, and he was in our league, we had four or five quarterbacks
in the Big 12 every year over about a six- or seven-year stretch, and all of them played in the NFL.
And you know as well as anybody, if you have an NFL quarterback on your team in college, you're going to win games.
You win 9, 10, 11, 12 games.
He played against those teams week to week.
He was the best college quarterback that I had ever seen.

And it could be a cowboy.
It could be any.
Give me two or three players that you knew instantly.
Maybe it was high school.
Maybe they developed.
But other players that you just knew, Mike, they were going to be stars in pro football.
Well, from a coaching standpoint, I had the luxury of coaching Des Bryant and Justin Blackman.
Those guys were unbelievable.
And I've been very fortunate at Oklahoma State.
Brandon Weed and Mason Rudolph had great players.
But the issue that we had at Oklahoma State was we were playing Oklahoma that had Kyler Murray, had Baker Mayfield, and had Jalen Hurts.
And it was every year.
