Canucks win back-to-backs thanks to a 4-3 OT win over the Ducks at the Honda Center last night.
I'm not going to lie.
It was a good nap day.
And you know what?
Let's continue the Curtis Douglas good vibes right now.
I want to play his walk-off interview with Murph because in a season where there haven't been a lot of really good tug-at-the-heartstring, feel-good moments, it was nice not just to watch the guy score his first ever NHL goal.
I think it was in his 41st NHL game.
but also the reaction that you said from all the young guys on the ice and then what it meant to Curtis Douglas.
Because if you listen to this interview, you can tell.
He actually says he's trying not to get emotional, but you can tell he was very emotional.
Just a syrupy little guy at the heart of it.
Here is Curtis Douglas after scoring his first ever NHL goal in a win 4-3 over the Anaheim Ducks.
He's fourth in the NHL in power play goals.
Really?
Yes.
Wyatt Johnson, Kirill Kaprizov, Pavel Dorofeev, and Jake DeBrusque.
Jake DeBrusque has more power play goals than Leon Dreisaitl, Alex DeBrinckit, Jason Robertson, Uriah Slavkoski, Dylan Larkin, Steve Stamkos, and Connor McDavid.
And if you could turn that into an asset in return and sell that story to someone, but I'm kind of with you on this one.
I think the contract and the fact he wants to stay doesn't sound like he wants to go anywhere.
It means he probably will.
