Now, if you've got some money, you might be interested in the Spirit Airline.
Remember that?
They went belly up last week.
Lawyers are in bankruptcy court as we speak.
But enter Hunter Peterson.
He's got about a million followers on social media.
He's known for, quote-unquote, funny travel videos.
Okay, so let's buy an airline.
Seven million times that's been seen.
He started a website which is called, perhaps not surprisingly, LetsBuySpiritAir.com.
As of last night, we've had $337 million pledged.
I'm assuming pledging is different to actually giving.
The proposal is largely the same as that of the Green Bay Packers, which is publicly owned.
In other words, you buy yourself a football team, you buy yourself an airline.
Why wouldn't you?
So does $337 million buy you an airline?
No, it does not.
not even a hackneyed old belly-up airline-like spirit.
You will need $1.75 billion.
But they're still open, they're still counting, so we'll do that.
