But i my one disagreement is like I think it is very difficult right now, in this moment, I don't think eventually, but like right now in this moment for a progressive to win.
Like there is, and I just want to be really clear about this, there's zero evidence that a more progressive candidate can win a general election in a battleground state or in a presidential election.
That doesn't mean it can't happen.
That doesn't mean that AOC can't put together an incredible campaign and figure it out.

A Jewish president or a black female president or Barack Obama being elected.
Unlikely things happen.
Things that we think are um impossible happen with the right candidate.
Mamdani is an incredible mayor.
He's doing an amazing job.
A 69% approval rating or whatever it is in New York City is different than what you need to win in Michigan, Nebraska's second congressional district, which is a must-win for Democrats to take back the House.
So I think people just need to understand the left can't win without the middle, and the middle can't win without the left.
And right now,
You're a hundred percent correct.
All the energy and enthusiasm and new ideas is with DSA and the progressive left of the Democratic Party.
The middle of the party is stuck in the mud with no new ideas and a very poor view of how to win political campaigns.
There's probably something in between them.
But I'll also add here to Chuck Schumer's credit and to the Democratic Party establishment's credit, look at the the way that they've got the Senate cycle in a place where Democrats can actually take back the Senate.
